A Life Between Two Worlds

“Emily was meeting the dead before she'd even met the living”

THE STORY BEHIND THE MEDIUM

HER JOURNEY

From the visible to the invisible

Emily's professional journey began in visual merchandising and interior styling before moving into fitness and wellness. Looking back, the common thread was always the same: creating spaces, experiences and connections that helped people feel something.

Whether transforming the atmosphere of a room or intuitively recognising when a personal training client needed emotional support, Emily had always been fascinated by what exists beyond the immediately visible.

Motherhood deepened that curiosity. A decade shaped by fertility challenges, complicated pregnancies, grief and profound experiences surrounding birth and loss invited Emily to explore herself more deeply.

Four years before the arrival of her third child, she documented specific impressions about the child she believed would one day join her family, including her appearance and the timing of her birth.

For Emily, motherhood opened a fascinating question: If birth and death can transform our understanding of connection, what else might we be capable of sensing?

THE BEGINNING

The extraordinary arrived before an explanation.

For Australian medium Emily Chodat, the extraordinary has often arrived before an explanation.

She describes encounters with people she believes are in spirit, sometimes days, weeks or months before meeting their living loved ones. Taking an extraordinary leap of faith, she began documenting these experiences on Instagram, creating timestamped accounts that could later be revisited when someone recognised the details.

But her story began long before social media.

A sensitive, whimsical child, Emily recalls seeing figures, hearing voices and experiencing things she couldn't explain. The unseen was never entirely unfamiliar to her, although becoming a medium was not a career she had imagined.

THE TURNING POINT

“I didn't go looking for this work. In many ways, it found me.”

Largely self-taught in her early mediumship development, Emily began trusting and documenting her experiences before seeking mentorship and training with internationally recognised mediums.

What began as private encounters gradually became readings, public demonstrations and a growing exploration of consciousness.

HER WORK TODAY

Let the Weird Become Mainstream

Today, Emily's work extends beyond traditional mediumship into channeling, intuitive portraiture, light language, folklore, fairy traditions and the exploration of interdimensional and extraterrestrial experiences.

Her mission isn't to convince people what to believe, but to create space for curiosity, meaningful conversations and the freedom to question what we think we know.

Through private readings, spiritual education, public events and free TikTok sessions, Emily believes that even the smallest moment of connection can create a ripple far beyond the individual.

"We are all in this together."

It's a philosophy that underpins her work. Whether someone is navigating grief, searching for meaning or simply curious about the unexplained, Emily hopes to encourage a deeper trust in ourselves and one another.

Because perhaps the most interesting question isn't whether there's more to life than what we can see. It's what might change if we allowed ourselves to explore the possibility.
